The Western Society of Engineers is the Chicago area's oldest and most broadly based engineering society, encompassing all engineering and related technical management fields. It is a common meeting ground for engineers to get to know each other and participate in programs of mutual interest.

The Western Society of Engineers offers its members vast and diverse resources in the field of engineering—WSE is the largest cross-discipline engineering society in the midwest, acting as a sounding board for engineering, industrial and educational issues.

In addition to an ever-growing membership base and unique access to experts within all engineering disciplines, WSE offers its members Midwest Engineer, a bi-monthly magazine containing industry information, feature articles, book reviews and the latest WSE and midwest engineering news.

VILLAGE CLERK SEEDEN RECOGNIZED

LISLE, IL – At the October 17, 2011 Village Board Meeting, Village Clerk Tim Seeden was recognized for his receipt of the Ilion Crabel Member of the Year Award, provided by the
Municipal Clerks of Illinois (MCI). The purpose of the Member of the Year Award is to identify and recognize a member of the Municipal Clerks of Illinois who has made a significant
contribution to the objectives of the Municipal Clerk profession, and/or the Clerk’s own community or municipal government.

Clerk Seeden has held office since 1999 and has achieved both Registered Clerk and Certified Municipal status. The MCI award acknowledged Seeden’s leadership with the Clerks’ association
and the Village of Lisle. He is an active member with the Chamber of Commerce, Boy Scouts of America, and various community events.

Mayor Joe Broda noted that Clerk Seeden is a superb ambassador for the Village of Lisle as well as MCI. “Recognition for Tim Seeden’s contributions has been formalized by the Clerks’
association only this year”, said Broda. “But those contributions have been long-standing and they have been deserving of recognition for some time.”
